Laser Hair Removal

We use the Elite IQ which is a laser machine that is safe for use on all skin types. The Elite IQ can also be used for hair removal or to treat sun damage, psoriasis, facial wrinkles, and small visible veins. If you’re tired of waxing and shaving, the Elite IQ may be for you.

It uses Skintel technology. Skintel is a FDA-cleared melanin reader which allows us to find the perfect treatment setting for your skin tone! It also has different size treatment heads to cover more surface area in shorter periods of time. Both of these unique features allow us to give you a quick and personalized treatment.

It can be used anywhere on the body where there’s unwanted hair growth such as the underarms, legs, bikini area, and face.

Stop waxing for 6 weeks before your first appointment. Shave the area at least a day before the treatment. Avoid any topicals such as retinol, hydroquinone, and AHAs/BHAs in the area for at least 1 week before the treatment. Avoid bronzers or tanning for at least 2 weeks before your treatment. Make sure that you are not on any medications that make you more sensitive to light. Remove all makeup and creams in the area.

We have a cooling device that helps to cool your skin and make the treatment more comfortable. Most patients describe the feeling similar to rubber band snaps.

There can be slight redness afterwards that is similar to a mild sunburn. Just avoid direct sunlight and avoid using a sauna/steam room for a day. Always remember to wear sunblock with SPF 30+ if you are in the sun and reapply sunblock every 2 hours.

Treatments for the body usually take about 6-8 treatments and the face takes about 8-10 treatments but can vary from person to person. You may need more or less depending on your hair growth cycles.

You will notice about a 10-15% decrease in hair growth after each session. The hair will become thin and more sparse with subsequent treatments.

Every 4 weeks for the face and every 6 weeks for the body.
